In Memory of Ruth Masters

May 7, 1920 - November 7, 2017

A life well lived is a precious gift,
of hope and strength and grace,
from someone who has made our world
a brighter, better place.

It’s filled with moments,
sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared,
and laughter through the years.

A life well lived is a legacy,
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful heart’s will treasure.

Ruth Masters was a pioneer, leader, activist, nature enthusiast, music lover and a Vancouver Island icon.  Ruth helped out in many ways within Comox District Mountaineering Club and left a legacy of handmade trail markers and signs in the mountains she loved.   With the deepest of sympathy, we know that someone so special will not be forgotten and wonderful memories will live on forever through many legacies that Ruth has left behind.
